I finally qualified for an American Sim Racing Series race after a month of failing, including being the first driver not qualified in three of the past four weeks. In fact, I was surprised at the smaller turn out for this race.
Phoenix. Wow. What a joke of a setup for this track. The iRacing Fixed setup is simply way too loose. I know "loose is fast" but come on. You know there is an issue when it's nearly impossible to mat the throttle on the back straightaway. This condition is multiplied when the tires give up. So loose.
Anyway, I did more in this race than I first expected too, but as most always is the case, I have a long way to go. Most of my issues are self inflicted due to not having enough practice, but this week I had more than a normal amount of help in my folly due to the loose condition.
