ARC Racing Community Logos

Earlier in 2015, I joined an up and coming online racing league called ARCRS which stood for the Ascending the Ranks of Champions Racing Series.  This league was setup to create a “career mode” on iRacing, and provided the opportunity for me to get know a great group of people.  It was a ton of fun.  We raced in an ARCRS Qualifying Series for 10 races, and afterward we thought we were gearing up to race our first actual season in 2016.

Such as is life, that is not going to happen.  The owner of the league has had things happen outside of sim racing that led to him deciding to discontinue the league.  Priorities change and life goes on.

To the point, I designed these images using the existing ARCRS branding, with permission from the owner, as additional elements for the league.  Ultimately, on the “ARC Racing Community” logo is in use, as while the racing league is no defunct, the community is still alive and thriving.

All images were created in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014.

This is meant to be a decal that would be present on all cars to signify that the car is associated with the league, a common practice copied from NASCAR.  I took the existing ARCRS lettering and stylized "A", and added the black box with green border and added the lettering "2015 RACE CAR" underneath using the same font.

This is the concept for the ARCRS Qualifying Series logo.  Again, I used the existing ARCRS lettering and stylized "A", adding the additional lettering underneath and on top of a black background.  I opted to spell out the year, Twenty-Fifteen rather than the traditional numeric typeface.  This particular logo was used briefly in the league's social media campaign, specifically the league's drivers group.  Image created using Adobe Photoshop CC 2014.
