PixelatedRESULTS: 2020 Snowball Derby Preview
PENSACOLA, Florida (November 21, 2020) — Billed as the “only test session in America that pays,” by announcer Bill Roth, the Snowball Derby Preview is the official open test session prior to the Snowball Derby week.
Seven different divisions each spent the day tuning their racecars in preparation for the 53rd Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.
At the end of the day, each division was given two final sessions under the lights and in front of the Speed51 TV cameras to lay down their fastest lap. The fastest in each class received a cash prize.
Snowball Derby week officially kicks off on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 with “Tech Day”, followed by a full day of practice on Thursday with racing set to begin Thursday night.
Here are the very unofficial results of this test session. Winners in each division are subject to a post session technical inspection. Also of note, some names are left off these results as not all teams chose to utilize transponders, thus their times were not able to be recorded by the speedway’s timing and scoring.
