VIDEO – PixelatedFOCUS: Chandler Smith Previews the 2022 Racing Season
CORDELE, Georgia (January 30, 2022) — Prior to the start of the 2022 edition of SpeedFest at Watermelon Capitol Speedway in Cordele, Georgia, short track hotshoe, and NASCAR Truck Series driver Chandler Smith spoke with PixelatedSPEED to discuss the upcoming 2022 racing season.
Smith shared what his expectations are for the new season, continuing on momentum built after winning the 54th Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Florida last December. For 2022, in addition to the full NASCAR Truck Series campaign for Kyle Busch Motorsports, Smith will also tackle a heavy slate of Super Late Model racing in the Southern Super Series for Donnie Wilson Motorsports.
Taking a moment to look back at 2021, Smith is confident that the gremlins that plagued much of his team’s success is now behind them as of the monumental Snowball Derby victory.
With many of those lessons, and the many laps ahead of them this season, Smith hopes to use the Super Late Model racing as a way to better improve his NASCAR efforts.
PixelatedSPEED will follow along with Chandler’s journey over the course of the season in the form of written articles, social media posts, photo stories, and video interviews.
