Going Big in 2023
PENSACOLA, Florida (January 24, 2023) – Last season was my biggest year ever in my two decades of covering motorsports. Over the span of the year, I attended 30 race weekends, with most of those comprised of multiple feature events. Literally more racing than I could keep track of.
In 2023, I’m planning on continuing to build and grow with a very robust schedule that will see me attending races across the deep south, southeast and midwest over 50 separate racedays.
The core of my racing schedule will once again be centered around the ASA Southern Super Series, beginning with SpeedFest 2023 at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele, Georgia on January 28th. From there, I plan to attend the bulk of the Southern Super Series events throughout the year.
In addition to a robust slate of super late model racing, I’ll also once again be attending the Show Me the Money Series, beginning with the Alabama 200 at Montgomery Motor Speedway on March 4th. That will mark the first of six events at the historic half-mile.
Back at the hometrack in Pensacola, Five Flags Speedway has a very full schedule this year that begins with a Monster Truck show in early February and includes the annual running of the Sweat Hogg Grand Prix at the end of the month.
Racing at America’s Hometrack heats up in earnest in March with the inaugural event for the ASA STARS National Tour featuring the ASA Southern Super Series and Blizzard Series on the 11th. The month closes out with the return of the ARCA East Series.
From March onward, Pensacola becomes the home of the road to the Snowball Derby, with local division racing, pro late models and of course, the Blizzard Series filling the bulk of the racing season leading up to December.
Pensacola may be my hometrack, I will indeed be there quite a bit in 2023, but I’ll also be branching out and exploring new things this year.
From dirt racing to my very first NASCAR Cup Series event, I’ll be taking photos at kart races, sprint car events, national touring level super late model races, local bullrings and the return of Cup Series racing at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway.
I encourage you all to join me in my journey by following along on social media. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Mastodon… pick your favorite platform and follow along.
If you are interested in having me capture your racing memories at any of the events I’m attending this year, reach out to me and set up a booking. I’d love to work with you.
