PixelatedSPEED to Cover 52nd Annual Snowball Derby

PENSACOLA, Florida (November 21, 2019) — For the second straight year, PixelatedSPEED will be on location for the most prestigious short track race in the nation as the website will bring coverage of the 52nd Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida December 4-8, 2019.

In 2019, PixelatedSPEED embarked on its maiden voyage at the Derby, providing content throughout Derby Week, including interviews with all the top finishers and coverage of what has been dubbed, “The Derby Monsoon of 2019” that sent the Snowflake 100 to the following weekend for the first time in the event’s history.

While covering the 51st Annual Snowball Derby, PixelatedSPEED established itself as a source of original, entertaining and informative content and while serving as the “rookie” media outlet on site, stood high among the crowd and had a ton of fun along the way.

In 2020, PixelatedSPEED returns, prepared to remove the rookie stripe and once again provide news, information and entertainment from the Gulf Coast’s premier racing venue.

What can you expect to see from PixelatedSPEED at the Derby this year?

Starting with “Tech Day” and taking you all the way through the final post race inspection in the “Room of Doom”, the “Derby Days” features will return, bringing a look at the sights and sounds of each day throughout the week.

Continuing a tradition started in 2017, PixelatedSPEED will once again present the “Pit Walk”, taking you on a first person tour of the very congested Snowball Derby pit road.

Throughout the course of the week, look for various interviews with the field of drivers in the many divisions in competition, including interviews with the winners of both the Snowball Derby and Snowflake 100.

Recaps of the races held throughout the week will be found on the pages of PixelatedSPEED, including practice times, qualifying results, and finishing orders. 

PixelatedSPEED will also once again be posting photo galleries showcasing the many fresh, and uniquely themed paint schemes from both the Snowball Derby and Snowflake 100.
