Graff Going Fulltime Xfinity Racing; Decker Goes to Niece
PENSACOLA, Florida (January 16, 2019) — The news train continues to roll during this very active “off season” as more driver announcements were made on Thursday in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.
Graff Lands Fulltime Ride in Xfinity
After running the full ARCA Menards Series schedule in 2019 for Chad Bryant Racing, Joe Graff Jr. has secured a full time ride behind the wheel of Bobby Dotter’s SS Greenlight Racing No. 08 for the 2020 season. Funding for this endeavour is coming from the racing lifestyle apparel brand “EAT SLEEP RACE”.
“To be racing full time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series is super cool. My boys at EAT SLEEP RACE are really pumped and I am looking forward to having them back on the car,” said Graf Jr.
Graff finished 5th in ARCA last season, and SS Greenlight Racing team owner Bobby Dotter sees potential for a solid year in the Xfinity Series.
“I’ve been watching Joe for a little while now, especially when he ran a few NASCAR Xfinity Series races last season and I’ve seen he’s eager to learn and perform,” explained Dotter. “This is a big step for him, but he is determined to put the effort in and have a good rookie season.
Graff ran in three races for Richard Childress Racing in 2019.
Also returning to SS Greenlight Racing is Ray Black in the No. 07. This leaves Gray Gaulding the odd man out, after an impressive showing last year in the No. 08. Gaulding was recently heard on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio talking about his excitement going into 2020, and building on the foundations laid in 2019.
It’s unclear at press time what Gaulding’s plans are now, after being supplanted by Graff.

Decker Goes Part Time in Trucks
After a tumultuous rookie season driving for DGR-Crosely, Natalie Decker rolls into her sophomore effort in the Truck Series driving part-time for Niece Motorsports in 2020.
Decker will pilot the No. 44 entry beginning in Daytona with backing from long-time sponsor N29 Technologies. Decker will be sharing the ride with Ross Chastain.
“Change is inevitable. Change is expected and exciting, and change is also frightening! But this year is a year I’m ready for! I have never felt so prepared with, my health, in the gym, and mentally. With so many things to be excited about working with Niece Motorsports starting with my teammates Ross and Ty. I’m ready to learn from them and be 100% open-minded going into this season!”, says an exuberant Decker.
