FRIDAY AT THE RATTLER: Practice Day and Local Division Features on Tap at South Alabama Speedway
OPP, Alabama (May 22, 2020) — The on track action begins in earnest on Friday at South Alabama Speedway with the official Practice Day leading up to the 44th Annual Hardee’s Rattler 250.
On tap for the day is a full plate of Late Model practice, as both Southern Super Series Super Late Model and Baby Rattler Pro Late Models will alternate throughout the day sharing time on the speedway.
In the afternoon, the focus will begin to shift toward the local divisions that are scheduled for the night, with alternating practice sessions for Mini-Sportsman, Coyote, Cuplites, Street Stock and Super Stock divisions.
Additionally, starting position for the Street Stock and Super Stock classes will be based on European Style Qualifying, decided during the last practice session for those classes.
On Friday night, local division racing takes center stage as drivers and teams from the surrounding areas battle to be the 2020 Rattler Champions for their respective classes.

3:30 PM | Super/Pro Qualifying Tire Selection |
3:45 – 4:15 PM | Modified Practice |
4:00 PM | Technical Inspection Opens for Local Divisions |
4:30 PM | Local Division Practice |
5:00 PM | Grandstands Open |
5:00 PM | Technical Inspection for Late Models Closes |
6:30 PM | Local Division Driver’s Meeting |
7:00 PM | LOCAL FEATURES: Mini-Sportsman, 20 laps Coyote, 30 laps Cuplites, 25 laps Street Stock, 25 laps Super Stock, 35 laps |
