PixelatedSPEED Back on Track in 2022
PENSACOLA, Florida (January 1, 2022) – Let’s be honest. I did a terrible job presenting content on PixlelatedSPEED in 2021. In fact, aside from an early season press release, the only content I posted was during the Snowball Derby. Simply put, I failed. Now, as the new year begins, I feel as though I’m finally ready to truly focus forward and get back on track both figuratively and literally.
I failed.
This past year; past two years, have been total dumpster fires. I know I’m not alone in this, and I’m thankful for the many things that have gone well for me over the past two years. That said, this period of time has been filled with some of the highest levels of stress, depression, self-doubt, and anxiety that I’ve ever had to deal with in my life.
The ongoing global pandemic has had various effects on my life, as I know it has for everyone. Most notably, was a time when I wasn’t sure how long I’d have a solid day job. Thankfully, my boss, and the crew that I work with fought through some very tough times and have managed to ease those worries.
At home, there have been a myriad of stressful situations to deal with. Slowly, we have overcome chaos and turmoil multiple times in the past 24 months.
All the while, when it came to producing content, I found myself falling deeper and deeper into a void where the lack of satisfaction grew and my motivation wavered.
Over the many months, I’ve had a ton of ideas swirling around in my head. Getting those ideas put into action, however, has been an internal struggle that quite honestly, I’m still trying to overcome.
As I write this, at the start of the new year, I’ve been sparked with energy and inspiration to finally put some of those ideas into play with the launch of PixelatedSPEED’s 5th year.
Among them, I’m pledging myself to once again post content regularly. I’m not setting any hard timeframes, but there is plenty of racing to be covered, plenty of topics to opine about, and plenty of stories from yesteryear to be told.
When I post, I want and MUST post with passion. I’m no longer interested in producing content that is merely going through the motions. I will be creating content that inspires me, interests me and fulfills my creative passions.
To help facilitate and invigorate that passion, I will be hitting the road again in 2022. While I still intend on taking the appropriate steps and precautions that today’s current landscape dictates, I’m not going to let it hinder me from revisiting venues that have made up the backbone of my creative content and venturing into new territory.
Part of that plan includes dusting off a plan first set into motion over two years ago. I am planning on following and covering the 2022 Southern Super Series season. If all goes well, I’ll attend the majority of the events in person. As for the events I can’t make, I’ll cover those remotely.
When I’m not on the road there is a bevy of content projects I have in the works that will more than adequately fill my creative itches. Chief among those is my goal to launch a podcast this year and revive my passion for motorsports photography…. the latter already in motion as of the last Snowball Derby.
I know I’ve set some lofty goals for myself in 2022, but I also know they are all achievable and more importantly… sustainable.
